12 Days of Winter Fitness Dance Video (Free)

FREE Holiday Dance to Get Kids Moving Now!

Description:

As 2020 ends and 2021 begins everyone is looking for new ideas for activities that can be shown at home during remote teaching, practice social distancing (this video does not show children social distancing as it is a bit dated) and require little or no equipment. The 12 Days of Winter Fitness musical movement dance activity will fit these requirements perfectly. This familiar song challenges students to create their own “winter” movements to the words of the song and can be done in a line dance or scattered formation. All movements can be performed in one own’s assigned area and no equipment is necessary. The video includes some instruction and follows with 4th graders performing the movements to the music. Use the video and music for face to face instruction or post it for students to do at home.

The first 16 minutes and 35 seconds is video of the dance being worked on in a gym setting. At 16:36 of the video is where you can put the video on and have students follow along.

*There are no certificates for this course. It is a free resource and an opportunity to communicate and share with your peers and others.
